Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s new National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) training ship, TS Patriot State, is set to make its first extended voyage. The ship, which arrived on campus on October 10, 2024, is set to embark on its inaugural Sea Term, departing on Saturday, January 11, and visiting ports that include San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charleston, South Carolina; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Tampa, Florida. The ship is anticipated to return at the end of February.
