SAS Cargo Teams Up with Innovator cargo.one to Harness the Rise of Digital Procurement

SAS Cargo, the airfreight arm of Scandinavian Airlines, is teaming up with cargo.one to enhance its digital presence in the global air freight market. This partnership will open up SAS Cargo’s capacity to a wider audience of freight forwarders, making it easier for them to access and book services online. By joining forces with cargo.one, SAS Cargo is stepping into a modern approach that aligns with current trends in logistics.

Utilizing the belly space on its flights,SAS Cargo plays a vital role in Northern Europe’s air cargo landscape. It connects Scandinavia to key international trade routes through its hubs in Copenhagen,Oslo, and Stockholm while employing state-of-the-art Airbus aircraft for efficient and eco-pleasant transport solutions. With service to 135 destinations across 31 countries and an annual haul of over 60,000 tons of goods, SAS Cargo is well-positioned for growth.

The journey towards digitalization has been significant for both SAS Cargo and cargo.one. Fast forward to today: more than 80% of bookings at SAS are now made online! This collaboration will allow them to tap into cargo.one’s extensive network that includes major global forwarders as well as smaller businesses relying on real-time connections.

Starting this April, users from cargo.one’s community—comprising around 25,000 members—will be able to quickly discover and book available capacity from SAS Cargo within seconds. The integration promises an effortless procurement process along with innovative tools designed specifically for managing shipments effectively. As digital workflows gain traction across industries worldwide, this move comes at just the right time.
