CEVA Logistics is stepping up its game with a fresh trans-Pacific charter programme aimed at providing dependable air capacity on crucial trade routes.This new service links Wuxi, China (WUX), to Chicago, U.S. (ORD), with three flights each week.

The first flight took off from Wuxi to Chicago today, transporting over 100 tons of various goods. this charter is versatile enough to handle everything from industrial machinery adn electronics to oversized items and e-commerce products. Plus, CEVA is making strides in sustainability by offering lasting aviation fuel (SAF) options through its CEVA FORPLANET initiative focused on low-carbon transport solutions.

Key hubs for efficient logistics

This charter service comes through a partnership with the Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport Group, strategically located for easy access to the bustling Yangtze River Delta Economic Growth Zone. It’s an ideal logistics center not just for global manufacturers near Shanghai but also for local Chinese firms in tech and e-commerce.

Once the cargo lands in Chicago, it can be swiftly distributed across major U.S.cities thanks to CEVA’s gateway situated less than 10 miles from the airport. Their expansive 700,000-square-foot air freight facility features an 8,000-square-foot Free trade Zone (FTZ), a cold storage area of 10,000 square feet split into two chambers, plus a Container Freight Station (CFS) and Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) both measuring 180,000 square feet equipped with advanced inspection technologies like x-ray and K-9 services.

The domestic ground transport network enhances this service further; over 200 weekly linehaul routes connect the Chicago hub with key locations such as Los Angeles and Atlanta while reaching around 70 distribution points nationwide—ensuring deliveries are completed within just one or two days! The program also streamlines customs clearance processes along with tailored cross-border solutions.
