Container News

Associated British Ports (ABP) announced that Brad Crumbleholme has been appointed Head of Engineering and Asset Management for the Humber Region.

Brad Crumbleholme commented: “I am excited to take on this new role and to be working with the Humber team in a permanent capacity. We have great opportunities ahead and having got to know the team here it is clear that we are well positioned to drive Continuous Improvements to the benefit of our customers.”

Crumbleholme has been providing interim assistance to the Humber team for several months, in addition to his present responsibilities as Head of Engineering & Asset Management for Wales & Short Sea Ports (W&SSP) and leader of the ABP-wide Energy Project. He joined ABP in 2018 and overhauled the W&SSP Engineering division, including its people and procedures.

Andrew Dawes, Regional Director for the Humber ports, stated: “I am delighted to welcome Brad as a permanent team member in the Humber. He has done an excellent interim job supporting the engineering teams here and we look forward to the opportunity the role will give him to help shape the engineering function and the wider ABP business.”

Brad Crumbleholme formerly worked for Peel Ports, covering the Mersey Division, for ten years, and for a multinational stainless-steel producer before that. His heavy engineering career began in precision engineering as an apprentice toolmaker.
