Maersk upgrades West Africa service

Danish ocean carrier Maersk will expand its West Africa 3 (WAF3) service into the Mediterranean basin, adding Egypt’s Port Said to the port rotation.

The company has also decided to increase the container ship fleet of the service, according to the latest DynaLiners report. With Maersk deploying two additional vessels, the service is now operated by five 4,500 TEU boxships, which sail under the following rotation:

Tangier (Morocco) – Port Said (Egypt) – Algeciras (Spain) – Tangier – Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire)- Tangier
