Med Marine, the Turkish shipbuilder and tugboat operator, specialized in building tugboats, workboats, offshore vessels and coated/Stainless Steel (STST) IMO II type chemical/oil tankers, at its Eregli Shipyard, has successfully delivered its latest MED-A3200 series newbuild tugboat to P&O Maritime Logistics.
The delivery was celebrated in Istanbul on January 30, where the owners named the newbuild ‘P&O Africa’.
This 32-meter RAstar 3200-W Escort Tug combines strength and reliability, achieving a remarkable 80-ton bollard pull, as Med Marine mentions in its statement.
The ‘P&O Africa’ is engineered to perform a wide array of maritime tasks, from ship handling and towing to escorting, mooring, and emergency response.
P&O Maritime Logistics, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a provider of worldwide marine solutions with a focus on offshore energy, port services and cargo transport, owning and operating approximately 400 vessels.
