Yannis Papachristou was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP)-Fundgrowth.
According to sources, the final candidates for the CEO position included Papachristou, who was ultimately selected, alongside the current CEO of HCAP, Grigoris D. Dimitriadis, and the CEO of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), Dimitris Politis.
Papachristou, born in Greece in 1970, began his academic journey at the National Technical University of Athens, where he studied Chemical Engineering. He later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Geneva.
His professional career started in 1996 in the marketing department of Johnson & Johnson Hellas, where he advanced to the role of Marketing Manager. In 2000, he took on the position of Marketing Director at L’Oréal Hellas before moving to the company’s global headquarters in Paris as Marketing Director for the Europe Zone 10. Between 2006 and 2013, he served as General Manager of L’Oréal’s Mass Market Division in three different countries—Hungary, Greece, and Russia.
In 2014, Yannis Papachristou joined Coca-Cola HBC Russia, and in 2016, he returned to Greece to assume the role of Country Manager for Greece and Cyprus at Coca-Cola 3E. In September
