GEODIS appoints new Executive Vice-President of European Road Network Line of Business

GEODIS, a global logistics provider, has announced the appointment of Marc Vollet as Executive Vice-President of its European Road Network Line of Business.

In his new role, Marc Vollet will join the Group’s Management Board, chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, Chief Executive Officer of GEODIS.

With 30 years of experience managing operations and leading international teams within GEODIS, Vollet brings extensive expertise to this position. His career began with a variety of operational roles across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. In 2000, he took on the role of manager for the Grenoble and Chanas sites in eastern France, focusing on the Chemicals and Gas sectors. By 2005, he was appointed CEO of BM Chimie, an entity specializing in the transportation of chemical and gas products across Europe.

In addition, in 2009, Marc Vollet assumed the position of Director of Operations for GEODIS Group’s European Road Network activity. Between 2017 and 2019, his responsibilities expanded to include oversight of the purchasing and technical departments, the operational excellence division, and the engineering unit of the European Road Network Line of Business. In 2021, he was tasked with driving the development of the Group’s multimodal transport offerings in Europe, contributing to the decarbonization of its transport activities.

Marc Vollet holds an international master’s degree in management and business development.
