ICT widen its balls offer introducing XD15NW, Cronidur, L-605 and XD16N steels

Components for bearings used in aircraft applications need to meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance due to the critical role they play in ensuring the safety and functionality of aircraft. They are engineered to the highest standards to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of aircraft in various operating conditions.

ICT can offer balls (as well as other components) for aircraft bearings thanks to its manufacturing long-term partners, who all adhere to strict quality control and certification processes to meet the above requirements.

In addition to balls offered since years in steels like M50 AMS6491, AISI 52100 AMS6440 and AMS 6444, with VIM (Vacuum Induction Melting) and VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelt) process, ICT recently expanded its products offer with introduction of new types of steels:

  • XD15NW AMS 5925: it is a high-nitrogen martensitic stainless steel (used both for aerospace and medical applications) that represents a good alternative of the 440C thanks
