Vietnam Builds Its Largest Bulk Carrier Ready To Sail From Hai Phong
Vietnam has built its biggest dry bulk carrier, the 65,000 DWT Truong Minh Dream which will be operating from the port city of Hai Phong.
This is a major advancement in line with the government’s plans to expand shipping to support the country’s maritime sector.
The 200 m long ship is classed by Japan’s ClassNK and meets international standards. It can also operate anywhere in the world.
Designed jointly by Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering JSC (VISEC) and Bluetech Finland, the ship is double-bottomed and has a single propellor and 5 cargo holds.
