Rear Admiral Kevin M. Sweeney, USN (Ret.)

Norfolk, Va.-based Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. (CSI) reports that Rear Admiral Kevin M. Sweeney, USN (Ret.), has joined its board of directors, effective January 31, 2025.

“Rear Admiral Sweeney is a highly respected national security expert with decades of leadership experience both in and out of government,” said Randall Crutchfield, Colonna’s chairman & CEO. “His deep understanding of maritime operations, national defense strategy, and corporate governance will be an invaluable asset to Colonna’s Shipyard as we continue to strengthen our position in the industry.”

“I’m excited to join the Colonna’s board, particularly during this milestone 150th anniversary year,” said Sweeney. “I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the commercial and naval maritime sectors, drawing from my lifetime of military service, executive management and business endeavors.”
